WSU Extension in Cowlitz County is looking for a program coordinator for the SNAP-ed program.
Duties would include coordination, implementation and evaluation of the Cowlitz County SNAP-ed program. This would include developing partnerships in the community, and implement initiatives relating to healthy eating and active living models among the limited-resource population in Cowlitz County. The work would primarily focus on schools and community settings. Duties include teaching direct and indirect education to adults and youth, working with community organizations, building community collaborations, budget management,and evaluation of program effectiveness. This position is part of the WSU’s annual contract for SNAP-ed funded by the USDA FNS SNAP-ed program.
Necessary qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant extension program discipline and two (2) years of related program experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for- year basis.
