The HLC is very grateful for the partnership it has held with ESD 112 as the fiscal agent over the past year of our fledgling organization. Their support has been extremely valuable. Now, as the HLC grows into a non-profit entity, the next logical step is to partner with a non-profit fiscal sponsor. The organization that will fulfill this role is Healthy Generations (Healthy Gen), a statewide non-profit organization that also shares the HLC’s goal of improving community health.
In the meantime, the HLC has been searching for a permanent home for our Community Health Workers (CHWs) which will be filled by Consumer Voices Are Born. CVAB is a Vancouver-based non-profit that brings extensive expertise in peer work, which is the nature of the work done by our Community Health Workers as they seek to build trust between individuals in need and the services provided through systems of care.
The HLC is excited about these partnerships in the forward motion of its goal to focus on upstream solutions that support community based initiatives that make life better for everyone.
