The Council For the Homeless together with many other partners drew a standing room only crowd of over 100 supporters wearing red to the first Vancouver City Council Workshop held on the topic of Affordable Housing. This is the start of a timely conversation when the growing lack of housing is displacing many families. Several community health workers showed up to show their support: pictured above are Rose Village CHWs Connie Wellman, Bill Judd, Tes Holowatz standing with Andy Silver, Director of CFTH and Board Pres of HLC. The outcome of this workshop is that the Mayor has decided to form a task force to move the conversation on Affordable Housing forward.
