We live in a racialized society in which explicit and subtle patterns of inequity permeate our social, political and economic structures resulting in advantages for some groups, while disproportionately impacting others. As current and future leaders, we can benefit from a framework that equips us to analyze these structures in order to develop personal and organizational responses that further equity and justice.

As a participant in this training, you will:

  • Increase your awareness of the historical impacts of
    structural inequity
  • Deepen your understanding of the dynamics of oppression,
    power, and privilege
  • Recognize and learn about strategies to manage your own biases
  • Apply an equity lens to assess organizational policies and practices and identify personal and organizational opportunities to aTheme Pluginschieve greater equity
  • Engage with peers in creating a supportive learning community
